The Look BookCover Tag is a brand new tag created by Cerys over at Browsing for Books. It’s perfect for anyone for likes making book aesthetics or is a sucker for a pretty cover. She was kind enough to tag me, and I’ll leave her description and all the info below. As Cerys says, this is a pretty labour-intensive tag, so I’ve split the ten prompts apart, and I’ll give you five this week and the other five in a few weeks — so keep a lookout!

My Blog’s Name in Books
I saw this tag over on A Book A Thought a couple of months ago, and it just looked so much fun I had to give it a go! It was actually harder than I thought — curse the latter part of the alphabet!
1. Spell out your blog’s name. (this is where you wish your blog’s name was shorter LOL)
2. Find a book from your TBR that begins with each letter. (Note you cannot ADD to your TBR to complete this challenge – the books must already be on your Goodread’s TBR)
3. Have fun!
As always, click on the title to go to the goodreads page.
What’s your name in books?
Try A Chapter
I’ve seen the Try a Chapter Tag on YouTube a few times now, and I was really inspired to try it for myself. I usually decide which book I’m going to read before I start reading though, so I’ve never found the right moment for it. But “Try 3 Chapters, Then Pick One to Continue” was a prompt in last month’s Biannual Bibliothon, so this was the perfect chance to give it a go.
I picked out Stolen Songbird, Gilded Cage and Pantomime to try. Here’s my initial reaction to each.
The Aesthetically Pleasing Book Tag
I spotted this over at Kayla’s Book Nook and just couldn’t resist the chance to browse through some of my favourite covers. You can check out her post here and the original video, by Book Syrup over on YouTube, here. If you fancy answering it, consider yourself tagged.
What’s your favourite book cover? Do covers influence which books you buy?

The (Birthday) Cake Book Tag
I couldn’t think of a way to answer today’s Top Ten Tuesday that wasn’t really similar to a recent prompt so — since it’s my birthday later this month — I thought I’d give this a go. Keep an eye on the blog later this month, because I’m planning a preorder giveaway to celebrate.
I think the originally tag came from Cait at PaperFury but kudos also goes to Heather at The Sassy Book Geek for giving it a birthday twist.
The Books and Makeup Tag
This is a really fun, quick tag I saw Alexa Donne recently revive over on her YouTube channel. You can also check out the original video from sarawithoutanH. The videos for this tag are great fun to watch as the BookTubers are all doing their own makeup while answering the questions. Go check it out if you’re looking to kill an hour or two.
If you make your own version of this tag, I’d love to see it. Feel free to leave me a link to check out down in the comments. Continue reading “The Books and Makeup Tag”
Sunshine Blogger Award
Sinead from Huntress of Diverse Books nominated me for the Sunshine Blogger Award. You can read her awesome answers — which book intimidated her, and which is her favourite fictional sport — over here.
My Life in Books Tag
Thank you again to Lili over at Utopia State of Mind for the tag, you can take a gander at her post here. It was ages ago and I’m sorry it’s taken me this long. I’m not going to tag anyone in particular, because this one’s fun and quick, so I think you should all just do it 🙂
