readingchallenge, Try an Episode Tag

#IronTomeAThon TBR

The Iron Tome A Thon is a readathon running throughout July, hosted by Bookshelves and Paperbacks. You can find all the details of the challenges in the announcement post here. I’m going to aim for the seven optional prompts then, if I’ve got time, I’ll just try to fit in as many adult fantasy books as I can. I do have a couple of other things I’m planning to read next month too, so we’ll see how I get on.

What do you think of the choices on my TBR?

For this readathon, I’ll be playing for #HouseStark! Let me know if we’re on the same team.

The “Try an Episode” Tag

try an episode tag

This tag was inspired by the Try a Chapter Tag created by Malia at BookParadise. The basic idea of that tag is that you choose around five books that tickle your fancy and read the first chapter of each. Then, you share your thoughts and decide whether or not you’ll continue each book and which one is going to be your next read.

I’m a lot more decisive with books than television though. Once I start a book, I usually stick with it, whereas I flit and switch between tv shows and often forget about them entirely.

So, I thought I’d tweak the tag to suit me better and came up with: The Try an Episode Tag!

The rules I gave myself were:

1.  Pick four or five tv shows you have an interest it.

2.  Watch the first episode or pilot (and if the first episode is spilt into parts you can watch them all).

3.  Decide whether you’d continue the series or set it aside, what you thought of the episode, and what one looks the most exciting.

Let me know if you’ve watched any of these shows (Did you love them or hate them?) and, if you’re interested in trying it out, consider yourself tagged.
