Ten Books on My Fall 2021 To-read List

Books on My Fall 2021 To-read List

Well, this month I’m currently working on three readathons — mythothon, demonathon and magical readathon — and I think there’s going to be some run-over but I’ll leave those off this list. Some books I’d like to pick up once I’ve done with those are listed below. No doubt some of them will wind up worked into other readathon TBRs but they’re all books right at the top of my normal, ‘excited for’ TBR.

The Queer Principles of Kit Webb by Cat Sebastian

Before We Disappear by Shaun David Hutchinson

Cackle by Rachel Harrison

Under the Whispering Door by T.J. Klune

The Turquoise Mask by Phyllis A. Whitney

The Merciful Crow by Margaret Owen

White Smoke by Tiffany D. Jackson

The Undertakers by Nicole Glover

That Dark Infinity by Kate Pentecost

The Pigeon Pie Mystery by Julia Stuart

  1. Is Cackle part of a new series from Harrison? I think I might look it up, I do like her work. And also Pigeon Pie Mystery, which looks great (judging from the cover alone). Hope you enjoy these books!

  2. Cackle has been intriguing me since I first heard about it, but I’m still undecided whether I want to read it or not; I look forward to your thoughts on it. The new Klune book sounds good, as does The Undertakers, but in both cases, I want to read the last or previous book first. And The Pigeon Pie Mystery sounds delightful! I’m adding it to my TBR list.

    1. I hope you enjoy it! I did (obviously, since I’m reading the sequel lol) and I’m sure you will, but the cover of The Conductors gave me some of the wrong vibes and made the first handful of chapters a bit tricky for me to get my head around. I’m hoping to have better luck with the sequel now I know exactly what the books are.
