Round 4 of Mythothon (a mythology inspired readathon) will be running throughout April. This round is based around Arthurian legend.
It’s not to late to join, check out all the details in my announcement post here.
Here are the 16 books I’ll be reading (one for each prompt). I’ll be reading the optional group book, Legendborn and the group prompt for Team Nimue.
Group book: LEGENDBORN by Tracy Deonn

Nimue, the Lady of the Lake — Read a book set at sea.
SILVERWOLF by Jacey Bedford

King Arthur — Read a book featuring royalty.
THEFT OF SUNLIGHT by Intisar Khanani

Sir Lancelot (Arthur’s greatest companion) — Read a book from a favourite author.
THE FINAL VOW by Amanda Flower

Sir Gawain (Known as the Green Knight) — Read a book with the colour green on the cover or in the title.
SEA AND FLAME by Tallie Rose

Sir Percival (the original hero in the quest for the Grail) — Read a book with a shiny cover.
THREADNEEDLE by Cari Thomas

Sir Bors (Arthur’s successor) — Read a sequel.
DEAD MAN IN A DITCH by Luke Arnold

Sir Lamorak (one of the best knights but overlooked in the chivalric romance genre) — Read a book you think is under-hyped.
SOLDIER OF DORSA by Eliza Andrews

Sir Kay (Arthur’s foster brother) — Read a book with a significant sibling relationship.
RED TIGRESS by Amélie Wen Zhao

Sir Gareth (the youngest knight) — Read a recent addition to your TBR.
SWEET AND BITTER by Adrienne Tooley

Sir Bedivere (returns Excalibur to Nimue) — Read a book with something pointy on the cover.
ALL THE STARS AND TEETH by Adalyn Grace

Sir Galahad (“the most perfect of all knights”) — Read a book with a title that starts with a “G”.
GRACELING by Kristin Cashore

Sir Tristan (falls in love with Isolde) — Read a book with a romance that should be legendary.
MALICE by Heather Walter

Sir Gaheris (“the least well spoken of all his peers”) — Listen to an audiobook or read part of a story aloud.
FOUR DEAD QUEENS by Astrid Scholte

Camelot — Read a book set in a place you’ve never visited.

Oooh, a Peter and the Wolf retelling? That could be really neat, I’m curious to see what you think of it!
Also, what? Another Amanda Flower mystery series? Yikes, I need to get reading.

I know, right? The woman is PROLIFIC! This is backlist and ‘only’ a trilogy 😂 Kindle was doing them as a single discounted book, so I had no choice but to get it. She also has what looks like a wedding themed duology I want to check out.

Really awesome choices, and really cool prompts. Thanks for organizing something so innovative! I am not sure whether I’ll be able to survive this Mythothon (only a 10% chance, really) – but I AM going to try. Here’s my introductory post: https://lexlingua.co/mythothon-round-4/
Good luck to all the participants!

Ooh! 🤦♀️How could I forget!?! Ohh right my health took a NOSE DIVE this month!! Wells… despite being EPICALLY late — I’ve found the #Mythothon group read @ my library — plus, I might sneak another title in if I can… 2x is better than none!! I was so eager for this too. I’m so sorry… I seem to need repetitive nudges… you know tweet me to death!? lol 🤣🤣 No, seriously, next time — do that!! I have so much on my mind lately….

No worries at all Jorie! It’s been a crazy year! My heads all over the place with deadlines and dates half the time too. Maybe you can join in the next round? 😄 Always happy to have you around for as much or as little as you’re up for!
