Do you prefer series or standalones and why?

Generally I prefer series but anything that currently stands at over five books is more than a little intimidating. This might be something to do with the fact that the vast majority of my reading is Fantasy, a genre that has a history of leaning towards series over standalones.  Weirdly though, a large number of the books I’d pick as ‘top favourites’ are standalones.

What is one book you wish you could read again for the first time?

Tamora Pierce’s Tortall books. I adored them as a kid and I’d love to experience them without age and time influencing my reading.

Is there an adaptation of a book that you really enjoyed? If so, what is it?

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman

A Man Called Ove (2015). Directed by Hannes Holm, starring Rolf Lassgård, Bahar Pars and Filip Berg.

Do you prefer backlist titles or new releases?

New releases are exciting but finding an author with a long backlist to work through is a gift.

Do you watch Booktube? If so, what is your favorite content to watch (reading vlogs, TBRs, wrap ups, etc)?

I have phases. I like readathon TBRs to compare with and get suggestions, or recommendations and ‘top’ lists built around a theme. Occasionally. I get really hooked and watch 100+ hours of one channel then leave it for months and months.
