Thank you Jess @ Jessticulates for tagging me. Making playlists and pairing books with songs isn’t something I usually do so this was a fun change for me and something new.

I had a lot of fun with it!

If you want to give it a try yourself tagged by me. Just let me know so I can check out your answers 🙂

Rules:

  • Thank and link back to the person that tagged you.
  • Credit the Tag creator: Daniel @ Page to Page
  • Listen to your tagger’s song requests. After you’ve finished listening to the three songs the person who tagged you has chosen, choose a book that you think marries well with each of the songs and give the reason as to why you selected those book titles.
  • Request 3 songs of your own. Give any three songs (and your corresponding book choices that you think go well with said song) that you want for your taggers to listen and respond to!
  • Tag 5 people!

Jess’s Requests

Delicate – Taylor Swift

When We Were Magic by Sarah Gailey

Alexis is having a rough time of it for most of the book and her relationships — both romantic and platonic — are all in a very fragile, delicate place where things feel tentative and unsure.

Believer – Imagine Dragons

Blood Water Paint by Joy McCullough

I sort of saw this a bit differently from Jess. I interpreted this song as Artemisia reflecting on how other’s have looked down on or underestimated her. The person that made her a believer is herself.

Orinoco Flow – Enya

The Wendy (Tales of the Wendy #1) by Erin Michelle Sky & Steven Brown

Longing for adventure? Dreaming of the sea? Sounds like this go-get-em version of Wendy Darling.

My Requests

Florence + The Machine – Dog Days Are Over

My suggestion: The Empress of Salt and Fortune by Nghi Vo

Idina Menzel & Evan Rachel Wood – Show Yourself

My suggestion: North Child by Edith Pattou

Maisie Peters – Smile

My suggestion: Sorcerer to the Crown by Zen Cho
