The questions are:
1. Reading on the couch or on the bed?
My answer: Reading in bed. I especially love the backlight on my kindle for this. The sofa is for YouTube and Netflix.
2. Male main character or female main character?
My answer: Female. Although as Laina points out non-binary should be an option here too, but by far I read mostly female protagonists. It’s not something I think I actively seek out though… I don’t know…
3. Sweet snacks or salty snacks when reading?
My answer: I don’t really snack while I’m reading unless I’ve went out for coffee and lunch. So, in that case it’d be most likely savoury but, in general, if I’m snacking, it’s sweet snacks.
4. Trilogies or quartets?
My answer: Trilogies. I either plow through series’ back-to-back or never finish them at all. There’s no happy medium. I’m more likely to actually make it through a trilogy. Plus, the only quartets I can think of off the top of my head are Tamora Pierce’s books and The Lunar Chronicles. Are there any other good ones I should try?
5. First person POV or third person POV?
My answer: I think I read more first, but I don’t really have a preference.
6. Reading at night or in the morning?
My answer: At night in bed.
7. Libraries or bookstore?
My answer: Both. I love bookstores and whenever I visit a new town I always make a point of checking out their bookstores. But, on a more usual basis, my town only has a teeny Waterstones so I like to support my local library which gets new releases pretty quickly. Whoever runs the YA section is especially on-the-ball and usually does a good job of getting in diverse books. I actually buy most of my books online or on ebook though.
8. Books that make you laugh or books that make you cry?
My answer: Laugh, probably.
9. Black book covers or white book covers?
My answer: Aesthetically, white; practically, black.
10. Character driven or plot driven stories?
My answer: Character driven. I’d prefer a book with strong characters eating pancakes than cardboard cut-outs saving the universe. Back in my fanfic-reading days I was a total sucker for anything tagged as domestic or day-in-the-life.
