The Best Game of Thrones Quotes

Okay so actually: The Best A Song of Ice and Fire Quotes, but that’s a bit long for a title.

A couple of weeks ago the Top Ten Tuesday prompt was “Inspirational/ Thought Provoking Book Quotes“. One of the ones I picked was the Sansa Stark line (my favourite):

“My skin has turned to porcelain, to ivory, to steel.”

Greg from Greg’s Book Haven pointed out that a whole list of favourite Game of Thrones quotes would be fun and I’ve shamelessly stolen the idea.

  1. Ooh fun post! I saw Game of Thrones Quotes and I was like- cool! lol. I like Sansa’s quote and Bran’s too- that’s a good one about old stories.

And “words are wind”- that made me laugh. Martin definitely does have his favorite phrases. 🙂

Thanks for the shout out BTW! 🙂

    1. No problem! It was your idea! 😂
Yeah, there’s a good few that seem to get repeated by everyone at some point. I’ve noticed them a lot more rewatching the show too.

  2. I am living for your GoT related posts. Dany has so many empowering quotes that I’ve loved (books + show) throughout the years.

I do have a personal favourite too, but it’s quite sad I think. For some reason, I’ve always loved and been haunted by this quote by Ned about Lyanna: “Beautiful, and willful, and dead before her time.”

    1. Aww thank you so much Carly! That means a lot! I’d love to do more GOT posts but I’m not sure what to write about 😂

That one is rather lovely actually. It’s a bit morbid to think, but it’d make for a beautiful epitaph.
