January 22: Books I Meant to Read In 2018 but Didnโ€™t Get To

There are A LOT of books I meant to get to last year and didn’t to be honest. These are some of the ones that came to mind first. Some of these I already own, some of them are ones I meant to buy a while ago. Are there any here I should really move up my TBR before all the 2019 releases take over?

Inkmistress by Audrey Coulthurst

The Impossible Girl by Lydia Kang

Strange Grace by Tessa Gratton

Blood Water Paint by Joy McCullough

The Silence of the Girls by Pat Barker

The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy by Mackenzi Lee

Hullmetal Girls by Emily Skrutskie

Heart of Iron (Heart of Iron, #1) by Ashley Poston

The Death of Mrs. Westaway by Ruth Ware

The Five Stages of Andrew Brawley by Shaun David Hutchinson

  1. Great list! Blood Water Paint is AMAZING! It was one of my favourite books of 2018 so I highly recommend reading it, and I really, really enjoyed The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy, too. I’m hoping to get to The Silence of the Girls soon!

  2. I haven’t read any of these, so can’t provide input of that sort. I will say, though, that the one Ruth Ware book I read was a VERY fast read, so The Death of Mrs. Westaway might not take you too long either.

    1. LOL ๐Ÿ˜‚ that’s basically my book buying routine.
I was really excited to read it but it sort of fell of my radar too after I got it so I’ll have to reprioritise it.

    1. I think they’re pretty unrelated so you probably(?) don’t need to reread for the plots sake (but, of course, totally could for fun anyway ๐Ÿ˜‰). I really enjoyed Of Fire and Stars too. โค
