This tag has been around a lot of blogs, but I think it stated out on Wattpad? It’s old but I thought it looked fun.
Let me know what your answers would be!
Seven Deadly Sins
What is your most inexpensive book?
I’ve no idea. I’ve been trying to make a point of using/ supporting my local library since I moved house, so those are all free. I also pick up charity/thrift shop books sometimes when I’m wandering around on holiday. If I like them, I’ll bring them back with me.
What author do you have a love/hate relationship with?
J.K. Rowling. I absolutely love Harry Potter — I have a snitch tattoo, even — and I have such a soft spot for the fandom which basically got me through my high school years. But I really wish J.K. Rowling would just stop. It seems that every time she adds something to the universe — films, plays, tweets — I want to tear my hair out.
What book have you devoured over and over with no shame?
I don’t reread a lot (which I really wish I had time to do) but the only books I’ve reread multiple times are some of the books in the Discworld series. I must have read The Watch and The Witches subseries’ four or five times.
What book have you neglected due to laziness?
I was lent this by a work colleague but I was never really that interested to read it, you know? So now — for like, nine months — it sits on my bookshelf, taunting me. I know I’ll need to read it so I can give it back (and I should do it soon) but I just… can’t be bothered.
What book do you talk about in order to sound like an intellectual reader?
I don’t really know that I do this? But I did manage to read Burr by Gore Vidal for the #MarvelAThon in June. I wouldn’t particularly want to chat about it, but I was really proud of myself because it was a real struggle to get through.
What attributes do you find attractive in male or female characters?
I’ll be honest, I kind of love the same things in male and female characters. Ambitious, snarky, clever, cunning. Perhaps a little morally grey? I love characters that just make you gasp at their audacity.
What book would you most like to receive as a gift?
If anyone wants to buy me this set of Penguin Classics, it’s be much appreciated. XD
