Pokemon Gotta Read ’em All Book Tag

This awesomely fun tag come from thatbookishgamer on YouTube. What makes it a bit more interesting is that there are prompts for each pokemon type and which ones you’ll answer are determined by which pokemon you pick for your team. You can find her full video, with all the prompts, here.

Which pokemon would you pick for your team?

Pokemon Gotta Read ’em All!

Poison: a toxic but still kind of good book

My favourite pokemon! My baby.

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas
While I wanted to tear my hair out at the overly-alpha maleness (and if I had to read the word ‘male’ one more time…) I did actually quite enjoy this book. I couldn’t bring myself to finish the series though. *shrugs* The characters and especially the romantic relationships (in both ACOTAR and ACOMAF) just weren’t worth it for me.

Fire: a fire hot romance

Soulless by Gail Carriger

Although the sex-scene itself was quite cringe-worthy, I seem to remember that the kissing scenes were pretty damn steamy.

Normal: favorite contemporary

Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde
I’m not usually a huge lover of contemporary but I absolutely loved this one.

Water: a flowing, easy to read book

The Ship of the Dead by Rick Riordan
With all the action, quests and witty banter, this whole series flew by for me and was a super easy read.

Fighting: an action packed book

The Girl in the Tower by Katherine Arden
There was so much jam-packed into this sequel. I absolutely adored the depth of the world-building as well as how quickly the plot rattled along.

Electric: a book that kept you buzzing long after finishing

Jade City by Fonda Lee
Jade City was such a sneaky slow burn for me. I wasn’t convinced until nearly halfway through but by the end I was absolutely destroyed.

    1. I was a big fan on of the 1st game and played a little of the second. I’m totally out of the loop with the current ones. But my favorites will always hold a special place in my heart.

      1. I never had a GameBoy, so I never did play the original game. I do have a DS now, but I kinda feel like I missed the boat on Pokemon. My niece is partial to Eevee, though, so maybe I’ll try it out in order to have more to talk about with her.
