March 27: Books That Take Place In Another Country.

For this week I’ve tried to pick out only books which take place (largely) outside of either the UK or the US. Please correct me if I’ve misremembered the locations in any of these 🙂

The Crown’s Game by Evelyn Skye — Russia

The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee — France, Spain and Italy

The Ghost Bride by Yangsze Choo — Malaysia

Written in the Stars by Aisha Saeed — Pakistan

The Blazing Star by Imani Josey — Egypt

The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden — Russia

The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller — Greece

And I Darken by Kiersten White — Turkey

The Valiant by Lesley Livingston — Italy

The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh — Iran

  1. We share three of the same books this week – although I think I’ve mistakenly put Ghost Bride as China – shall have to update to Malaysia.
I like the look of Written in the Stars. Will add that to my wishlist.
