  1. I’m sorry, but I need to ramble. I LOVED The Gentleman’s Guide so much, and it is also one of my favorites this year! I was also in awe at Queens of Geek. Under the Pendulum has SUCH a gorgeous cover! As well as Traitor to the Throne. Unfortunately, Rebel of the Sands was one of the most disappointing books I read this year. I didn’t like the muslim representation and I’ve heard not so many great things about it from people from the culture.

I don’t understand why the US decided to change the covers, though. The UK ones are gorgeous, and Hero At The Fall is so fiery and beautiful! I think I may want to read the last book just to be able to keep the cover… Daughter of the Burning City had its ups and downs for me. The first half bored me and it was really slow. But then I got to know the characters more and the pacing and mystery picked up. I liked how everything wrapped up too, and the writing style was consistently fabulous all the way through. It ended up being a 3.5-star read.

    I loved this post!

    Here’s my List:

  2. Aaaaah, you’ve read Failure to Communicate?! How did you hear about it? You bring my total up to two people I know who’ve read it. 😂 It’s on my TTT for today, too. 😊 I also loved The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue!
