TTT: Great Leaders

November 7: Ten Characters Who Would Make Great Leaders (Leaders of what? That’s your decision. Who could lead a country, an army, a book club, a classroom, etc. Or maybe characters that would be trendsetters?)

6 Characters who want to change the world

harry potter

Hermione Granger // Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling
“Not spew,” said Hermione impatiently. “It’s S – P – E – W. Stands for the Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare.”
Even before she was leading the fight against Voldemort, Hermione was leading the movement for House Elf rights. She stood up for what she believed in, even when it made her unpopular.

failure to communicate

Xandri Corelel // Failure to Communicate by Kaia Sønderby
Xandri’s a little awkward, but she manages to convince the Anmerilli to rethink their long-held attitudes towards gun-control and hunting. And I think we all know how hard that is.

Jordan Sun // Noteworthy by Riley Redgate
“If you can’t fix it, leave it behind.”
Even though the rules say that girls can’t sing in the Sharpshooters, Jordan doesn’t let that stop her.

Lambs Can Always Become Lions.jpg

Robin Hood & Lady Marian Fitzwalter // Lambs Can Always Become Lions by Charlotte Anne Hamilton
Stealing from the rich, giving to the poor and fighting injustice.

Cassandra Leung // The Edge of the Abyss by Emily Skrutskie
“This is a horrible idea,” I say with a smile. “Go.”
Cassandra will do whatever it takes to fight against the illegal Reckoner smugglers and to protect the ecosystem from the monsters.

Georgia Mason // Feed by Mira Grant
“Sometimes the wrong choice is the only one that lets you face the end with dignity, grace, and the awareness that you’re doing the right thing.”
George is dedicated to ‘the truth’, even when in pisses off everyone around her. She’s brave, determined and never backs done

  1. I’m glad to see Hermione on your list too, because she would make a fantastic leader. The real world could use someone like her in it, because she is so intelligent and always looking out for others.
I hadn’t thought about it, but Joran’s confidence would make her a really strong leader.
    Great list!
