  1. I loved And I darken and Nevernight but I had a harder time with some of the others. I’m not usually fan of books where I can’t decide if the main character is good or bad.

  2. Great list! I may not be a Slytherin myself, but I do love me some good cunning and ambitious characters and these are all either books I’ve already read and loved (Shades of Magic, Nevernight) or still on my TBR (And I Darken, Shadows on the Moon…)

    1. I don’t think you need to be a Slytherin to appreciate a cunning and ambitious character 😀 I hope you enjoy the ones on your TBR when you get to them.

  3. Ooh! I am a Hufflepuff, but I’m definitely interested in exploring my Slytherin side to read some of these titles. I adored The Sin Eater’s Daughter but haven’t gotten around to And I Darken or A Darker Shade of Magic yet… I think I need to work on those soon!

For this week’s TTT, I recommended books for reluctant readers. Feel free to visit if you’re interested.

  4. You’ve recommended some wonderful books for Slytherin. I’ve enjoyed so many of these… I’m worried I might not be such a Hufflepuff! 😉

  5. This is an awesome list. My slytherin self is impressed. I have a few on my tbr already but I need to look some of the others up. I’m looking forward to reading the sin eaters daughter. Also I’ve never seen that cover for locke lamora (which is the only book on this list I’ve read so far). It’s so pretty!

  6. Great topic! I don’t think I’m a Slytherin but some of these books sound fantastic. I’ve been wanting to read The Sin Eater’s Daughter, A Darker Shade of Magic, Three Dark Crowns and Cruel Beauty forever so maybe I’m more Slytherin than I thought!

  7. SLYTHERINS UNITE! This looks to be a great list and I haven’t read a single thing on it… and most of these are on my TBR so yay, now more excited. 😀

    SIDE NOTE: !!!!!!!

  8. Oooh, ‘Nevernight’.. I absolutely hated it hahaha! I couldn’t even make it past a quarter, those footnotes and the flowery style of writing were driving me nuts! Not for me, this one..

LOVED ‘The Lies of Locke Lamora’ though.. this book had it all, action, feels, surprises, witty dialogue, one of my favourite bromances…

  9. I haven’t read all of these, but the ones I have are great picks. And I Darken is the first novel that comes to mind when I saw your list and I’m glad to see the novel here. I actually need to pick up the sequel already because I just can’t get enough Lada in my life. Great post!

  11. I might be a Hufflepuff but I love this list! Lief from ‘The Sleeping Prince’ is the ultimate Slytherin IMO and I loved ‘Three Dark Crowns’! There are definitely great picks here, so many going on my TBR!

Great choices, feel free to check out my TTT list on unreliable narrators 🙂
