Bib·li·o·phile Fridays is a new weekly meme, co-hosted by Aurora and myself. Please come check us out over at the Goodreads group, we’d love to have you take part. 🙂
Happy “Belated” Thanksgiving! Pick 5 books that you were most thankful for in 2016.
My five choices for this weeks theme.
Heartborn by Terry Maggert – This was first experience of taking part in a blog tour and I had such fun with it, and checking out all the other blogs.
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas – This is such a busy and enthusiastic fandom to watch. I love how passionate the fans are, now I just have to read the Throne of Glass series.
Cinder by Marissa Meyer – This book got me out of a reading slump and back into YA.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.K. Rowling – The resurgence of the HP fandom was so awesome, even if the book was a bit disappointing.
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo – This one introduced me to Bardugo’s books, which I’ve devoured. I even got to go see her on tour with Rainbow Rowell.
A little more detail: A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
Summary.
Feyre is immortal.
After rescuing her lover Tamlin from a wicked Faerie Queen, she returns to the Spring Court possessing the powers of the High Fae. But Feyre cannot forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin’s people – nor the bargain she made with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court.
As Feyre is drawn ever deeper into Rhysand’s dark web of politics and passion, war is looming and an evil far greater than any queen threatens to destroy everything Feyre has fought for. She must confront her past, embrace her gifts and decide her fate.
She must surrender her heart to heal a world torn in two.
