Book Traveling Thursday: School

Book Traveling Thursday is a weekly event held over on Goodreads by Danielle and Catia.

This week’s topic is It’s back to school time! Choose a book set on high school or college.

Ruby Red (Precious Stones, #1) by Kerstin Gier

Image1 Sixteen-year-old Gwen lives with her extended – and rather eccentric – family in an exclusive London neighborhood. In spite of her ancestors’ peculiar history, she’s had a relatively normal life so far. The time-traveling gene that runs like a secret thread through the female half of the family is supposed to have skipped over Gwen, so she hasn’t been introduced to “the mysteries,” and can spend her time hanging out with her best friend, Lesly. It comes as an unwelcome surprise when she starts taking sudden, uncontrolled leaps into the past.

She’s totally unprepared for time travel, not to mention all that comes with it: fancy clothes, archaic manners, a mysterious secret society, and Gideon, her time-traveling counterpart. He’s obnoxious, a know-it-all, and possibly the best-looking guy she’s seen in any centrury . . . .

Original cover. This is actually one of my favourite covers. I love the black on pink, and the really cool illustrated silhouettes.

Rubinė (Edelstein Trilogie, #1)

Cover in my country (UK). I don’t hate this cover, but it makes me think of a more traditional romance or Mills & Boons novel.

Ruby Red (Precious Stone Trilogy, #1)

Favourite covers.

Hồng ngọc     Czerwień Rubinu (Trylogia Czasu, #1)

Least Favourite covers.

Таймлесс. Рубиновая книга  Red (Trilogia delle gemme, #1)  Rubí (Joyas preciosas, #1)

What are your favourite school setting related covers?
